About Us
AK9 was established in 2000. We have created a safe and educational environment for dogs of all sizes and breeds. With a team of experienced and compassionate staff, AK9 delivers a "hands on, stress free" approach to caring for your pet which leaves them feeling loved and content. We have a wide range of training options to choose from. This gives you choices to custom build a program for you and your pets specific needs. Whether you want a little brush up, problem solving or new habits formed we are here to help.
AK9 loves Daycare. Our Daycare focuses on offering a range of activities that cater to your dogs' education, physical and social needs with personalized attention. Occasionally, with parents' permission we will socialize dogs together. You can ensure dogs one-on-one experience with another dog is with one of proper age, size appropriate and compatible temperaments. Their play times will be supervised by our staff. Our goal is for everyone to learn something positive every visit.

SANDY POPEMy interest in training started with my first Doberman. Owning a Doberman was and remains a serious responsibility to me. They are my largest pleasure in life, next to my two-legged family. Started training as a hobby and competing in various sports in 1995. What a wonderful time in my life. Finding what I truly loved to do. After several years I decided to work with the public and opened AK9 in 2001. My goal every day is to make a positive effect in people's lives. Sharing my skills of training with others is so rewarding. Improving the relationship between an owner and their pet is huge. If you have ever truly loved an animal, then you understand. CORRIE NICOLL
My experience with dogs began at a very young age. Not only did I grow up around many dogs, but I also had family who volunteered for a pitbull rescue and had a lot of foster dogs come and go. I quickly fell in love with each dog that came through our care and knew well before the age of 12 that dogs would be in my future. I am blessed to have found Sandy Pope, who is teaching me the ways of the training world. I have learned so, so much already and I am excited to continue my training journey so I can help strengthen the bond between dog and handler.

Safety is our number one priority. With trained staff, proper supervision, and controlled interactions between playtime, we ensure that all dogs are secure and well-cared for during their time in our facility.
Boarding
Rest easy while you're away knowing that our boarding services offer a "Hands on" and "Stress free" stay for your dog. This is our way of treating your pet like one of our own. Each given one-on-one special attention, a comfortable space and a friendly neighbor.

Private Lesson
Offers one-on-one training with you and your dog, Addressing any issues, questions and goals. Including potty training, biting, jumping, obedience and problem solving. Private lessons are typically at least an hour long.

2 WK Board/Train
From puppies to seniors, AK9 offers basic, intermediate and advanced obedience while adding in any problem-solving skills needed. 24/7 care for your dog during their stay. Ensures your dog receives quality training time throughout the day, playtime, and encouragement for desired good behavior.
